The Scoop2 Mission:

Our Mission Here at Scoop2 is to create a community of like-minded responsible pet owners who care for the environment and respect our non-pet-loving neighbours.

We are committed to helping eliminate dog waste in our environment that has been left behind. Our goal is to protect our earth, mainly our watershed, and both humans and wildlife.

What’s With the Name Scoop2 You Ask?

We commit to not only picking up our own pets’ poop but any other pet waste left behind that we come across. In addition, if we do not see left behind waste we will, in turn, “scoop” at least one piece of litter from our route and either recycle it or dispose of it properly. Hence “Scoop2”! Let us make our world a better, cleaner place 2 scoops at a time.

Dog Owners… We Have a Big Problem in Society

Did you know there are people who don’t like dogs? Can you imagine? Our world has gone dog wild, especially now during COVID. Here is a quick comment:  “Well, if the dog isn’t trying to jump on me, lick me, doesn’t have that wet dog smell, doesn’t scratch up the hardwood floors, and I’m not responsible for taking it outside to poop and pick up the poop, then they’re tolerable. Otherwise, I don’t love them”.  THAT doesn’t even address the real issue and that is… dog poop not scooped and disposed of properly. I myself will get livid if I see it, not to mention if I step in it. Just think of non-dog-owners who have this experience?! The resulting environmental fact is that dog poop left on the ground can be washed into storm sewers that lead directly into our streams and wetlands. The poop contains harmful bacteria which can affect our groundwater, the health of aquatic wildlife, ourselves, and our children.

Dog waste is full of bacteria that can contaminate local waterways. Remember to bring a bag with you on walks so you can prevent this pollution of our local ponds and lakes. #ScoopThePoop

❓ FAQ: Do I throw my pets waste in the compost or garbage? Answer: It depends on where you live! Check your city’s bylaws on proper disposal. 🚮 It is different everywhere as different cities have different sorting facilities and technology. 🐾 💩 #scoop2 https://www.facebook.com/reel/526097786161055?fs=e&s=aEkTS0&mibextid=z9DgKg
